About

Environmental communications grounded in science, delivered to inspire.

WildCurrent partners with conservation groups, scientists, agencies and companies to advance land and water conservation, habitat restoration, climate action, and clean energy projects through visual and written stories.

From feature films and short videos to reports, instructional guides, and social media, we translate complex science and on-the-ground experience into forms that are usable and compelling.

We believe that rendering environmental information with beauty and depth has even more resonance in our increasingly artificial world, and that keeping it real wins hearts and minds.

WildCurrent was established by award-winning founders Benjamin Keller and Kathy Fallon who are driven by a passion for making science about the natural world more accessible and inspiring.

About Our Name

We seek out wild places and we use “Wild” in our name because we believe that unconstrained thinking brings the most creative and compelling solutions to our clients. Stretching beyond convention unearths just the right words and images to shift people’s thinking and cultivate new ways of understanding.

“Current” summons the movement of water and reflects our core function – to facilitate the flow of knowledge and experience from the source to the people and places where it will make a difference.

Kathy Fallon

Founding Partner

Kathy has created programs at the nexus of science and public engagement for the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation and Harvard Forest; distilled complex science into compelling reports and outreach materials for research organizations, nonprofits, and government agencies; and served as the lead architect for numerous science-guided campaigns for conservation and environmental stewardship. She has appeared in major media outlets such as The Washington Post, USA Today, NPR’s All Things Considered and Marketplace, US News & World Report and Heatmap. Kathy is also the Director of Land Systems at the Clean Air Task Force. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and a master’s in forest science from the Yale School of the Environment. Kathy is a Switzer Fellow, two-time Switzer Environmental Leadership Grantee, Leopold Schepp Scholar, and recipient of the EPA Environmental Merit Award and the Harvard Impact Award. When not working for nature, she spends as much time as possible exploring it on foot, with a paddle, or on skis.

Benjamin Keller

Benjamin Keller

Founding Partner

Benjamin is an award winning documentary filmmaker and cinematographer whose work spans some of the world’s most ecologically significant places — the Galápagos, the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, the Experimental Lakes Area of Ontario, and the coast of Maine he calls home. His films bring environmental and scientific stories to audiences far beyond the research community, finding the human pulse inside complex systems and making it visible. He is Co-Executive Director of AquaVox, a youth environmental storytelling nonprofit he co-founded, and his work has taken him from immersive installation art to broadcast documentary to conservation filmmaking across four continents. He co-founded WildCurrent because he believes the most important environmental work in the world deserves to be understood by everyone.

Linda Mirabile

Linda Mirabile

Design Team Member

Linda has been working in the environmental communications field since 1979, both as a graphic designer and avian artist. Her work covers a broad range—from small nature centers needing branding and marketing materials to lengthy multi-faceted books covering the habitats of Vermont. Her attention to detail—art directing every aspect of a project from concept to printing—has earned her the respect of her clients, many of which are long-time collaborators. Linda’s commitment to conservation has led to a joint effort with fellow artist Adelaide Murphy Tyrol, organizing art exhibits that highlight endangered species from around the world. She’s excited to bring her creativity and design experience to the WildCurrent team.
